On the night of July 26, 2020, 50-year-old Lee Ziegler was fatally shot at a gas station located at 2244 West Fairview Avenue in Montgomery, Alabama. Responding to reports of a shooting around 10:00 p.m., Montgomery Police and Fire Medics arrived to find Ziegler suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite prompt medical attention, he was pronounced dead approximately twenty minutes later.
