On the morning of January 8, 2025, 42-year-old Honduran man Rosniery Abady Mejía Magaña was fatally shot in his home in Montgomery, Alabama. The incident occurred around 6:12 a.m. in the 5100 block of Long Leaf Pine Drive, located in the Evergreen Estates mobile home park. Mejía Magaña was preparing to leave for work when an intruder entered his residence and shot him in the face, resulting in his immediate death at the scene.
