On the night of August 8, 2020, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Decatur police responded to a medical assistance call at a residence on Chestnut Street SE. Upon arrival, officers discovered 31-year-old Landon Ellis Borden suffering from a gunshot wound. He was promptly transported to Decatur Morgan Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
