On June 10, 2021, at approximately 1:40 p.m., Decatur Police Department officers responded to a shooting incident at 3023 Highway 31 South in Decatur, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 62-year-old Frankie Roland "Frankie" Smith Jr. suffering from a gunshot wound. Smith was transported to Decatur Morgan Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Smith was the owner and operator of Decatur Door Service, a business he had managed for over 35 years. He was known for his love of play ...Read More
