On January 9, 2022, 41-year-old Jamaal Jackson was fatally shot in Decatur, Alabama. The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. in the 300 block of Monroe Drive Northwest, where officers found Jackson suffering from a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
