On the morning of October 9, 2020, the bodies of Joshua Carroll, a 33-year-old white male from Seattle, Washington, and his colleague Ryan Fraizer were discovered on County Road 95 in Elberta, Baldwin County, Alabama. Both men were in the area working as fiber optic cable contractors, assisting with infrastructure restoration following Hurricane Sally.
