On June 26, 2021, seven-month-old Joshua Amazia Griffin of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office determined that his death resulted from blunt-force trauma and pneumonia, classifying it as a homicide. Despite this ruling, the District Attorney's office chose not to pursue criminal charges in connection with the case.
