On September 11, 2022, at approximately 12:43 p.m., 35-year-old Justin Hendrix was fatally shot while conducting a transaction at a stand-alone ATM on the Wells Fargo Bank property located at 325 West Valley Avenue in Homewood, Alabama. Surveillance footage captured a black 2013 Volvo XC90 pulling up behind Hendrix. An unknown individual exited the passenger side of the vehicle and fired multiple shots at Hendrix, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
