On December 19, 2020, 65-year-old William Elmore III was shot in the 4100 block of Troy Highway in Montgomery, Alabama. He was transported to Baptist South Hospital, where he was treated for a life-threatening gunshot wound to the chest. Despite medical efforts, Elmore succumbed to his injuries on December 29, 2020.
