In the early morning hours of Saturday, January 30, 2021, the life of 21-year-old Bradley Nall was tragically cut short in Mobile, Alabama. Officers responded to a call of a person shot on Randlett Drive at approximately 3:10 a.m. and discovered Nall deceased inside his vehicle from a gunshot wound. The incident unfolded just outside of his family's home, where he was ambushed in his car.
The investigation into the death of the young male quickly led to multiple arrests.
On Sunday, January 31, 2021, police took 18-year-old Mary Butler and 19-year-old Selena Tisdale into custody, charging both with felony murder. The following day, 23-year-old Demarcus Reynolds was also arrested and charged with felony murder. Prosecutors have described the motive as a robbery that escalated into a fatal shooting, with investigators believing the suspects were after marijuana.
As the investigation continued, more individuals were implicated in the crime. Julian Sullivan and 17-year-old Jaravian Allen White were also arrested and charged with felony murder. Court documents indicated that White was a passenger in the vehicle used to travel to and from the crime scene. Despite the multiple arrests, a key question remained unanswered. Testimony during a preliminary hearing for four of the suspects suggested that none of them were believed to have been the one who actually pulled the trigger.
Neighbors in the area reported hearing a chilling sequence of events. One neighbor's security camera captured the sound of five rapid gunshots, a 30-second pause, and then a final, single shot. Between the volleys of gunfire, a loud thud was heard, which was the sound of Nall's car crashing into a fence after he had been shot. The same recording also captured the voice of a man believed to have said something to Nall just before the final shot was fired. After the shooting, a red car was seen speeding away from the scene, and two people were observed running down the street after it. Investigators have stated that they know the identity of the shooter but are still working to gather enough evidence.
