In the fall of 2017, the life of Harvey Douglas "Dougie" Sumrall, Jr., a 45-year-old Caucasian male from Mobile, Alabama, was tragically cut short. On October 17, 2017, Sumrall was shot in the stomach in what was described as a domestic incident. He succumbed to his injuries the following day, on October 18, 2017.

The initial investigation by Mobile police quickly pointed to a suspect close to home. Sumrall's wife, Jennylyn Sumrall, was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting. News ...
