On May 14, 2021, at approximately 1:20 p.m., Montgomery Police Department officers and Fire Medics responded to a shooting incident in the 2900 block of Pelzer Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered two victims with life-threatening gunshot wounds: an adult female and 85-year-old William Jones. Both individuals were transported to a local hospital for treatment; however, Mr. Jones later succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation led to the arrest of 27-year-old Ronnie Hawkins of Montgo
