Eldrick McNeal, a 40-year-old man from Montgomery, was killed in a late-night shooting that unfolded in the 3400 block of Texas Street, an area reported to be between Lower Wetumpka Road and Fairground Road. Police were called to the scene after reports of a person shot, and when officers arrived, they found McNeal suffering from fatal gunshot injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
