On the evening of Saturday, December 20, 2025, Montgomery police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the area of East Patton Avenue, located near Norman Bridge Road and the Southern Boulevard. Upon arrival, authorities discovered a male victim suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. The scene was immediately secured, and the case was classified as a homicide investigation.
The victim was identified as Andres Mendoza, a 69-year-old Hispanic male who was a resident of Montgomery.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. As of the latest reports following the incident, detectives have not determined a motive for the shooting, and no suspects have been taken into custody.
