In the summer of 2021, the life of a young man was tragically cut short in Charleston, South Carolina. Reginald Jamel Dewar Coardes, Jr., a 24-year-old male, died on or about July 2, 2021, in an unfortunate incident that was determined to be an accidental shooting. The Charleston Police Department investigated the matter and concluded that the fatal wound was the result of a mishandled firearm.
