In the early morning hours of June 20, 2021, the life of 38-year-old Demetres Alando 'Duke' Orr, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in Hartselle, Alabama. Deputies from the Morgan County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a residence on Lane Road following a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Orr suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite any efforts to render aid, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
