On April 26, 2022, in Hartselle, Alabama, 85-year-old E.F. "Frank" Jones was found deceased in his residence from apparent gunshot wounds. Responding to a harassment complaint at 2300 Bonnie Dale Lane Northwest, Hartselle Police officers discovered Jones's body inside the home.
