On July 4, 2021, Melbourne "Trey" Johnson III, aged 31, was fatally shot in Montgomery, Alabama. The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Seaton Boulevard and Vaughn Road, where authorities found Johnson with a fatal gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
