In the early morning hours of September 29, 2023, the life of 28-year-old Kristopher Lewis, a White/Caucasian male, was brought to a violent end in a parking lot on Trade Street in Lexington, Kentucky. Found with a fatal gunshot wound, his death was initially thought to be the result of an altercation. However, as investigators delved deeper, a much more sinister and calculated plot began to unravel, revealing what authorities would later describe as a 'targeted assassination.'
At the
time of his death, Lewis was entangled in a high-stakes federal case, slated to be a key witness against Rollie Lamar, a man accused of running a significant drug trafficking and money laundering operation. Lewis himself had been indicted alongside Lamar in 2022 and had decided to cooperate with law enforcement, a decision that ultimately sealed his fate. Prosecutors believe that to silence his testimony, a hit was ordered on his life.
The investigation pointed towards a Lexington street gang known as “The Hot Boyz.” Authorities allege that members of this gang were hired to carry out the murder. For days leading up to the shooting, Lewis was reportedly surveilled by his would-be killers. On that fateful September morning, masked assailants ambushed Lewis in an industrial area, firing multiple shots before fleeing the scene.
In October 2025, a federal grand jury indicted six men in connection with the murder-for-hire scheme. Those charged were William Quejohn “Money/Que” Dixon, Rollie Deshawn “Ral/Ral-O” Lamar, Daquis Damarr “Tona/Quis/Killer Quis/KQ” Sharp, Desmond Elijah “Bibby” Bellomy, Jatiece Alvin “Baba/JT/HBBABA” Parks, and Deangelo Montavius “Doja” Boone. The charges they face are extensive, including witness tampering through killing and conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, with some of the counts being death-penalty eligible. Another man, Quincino Lamont Waide Jr., was also implicated by investigators, who alleged he was a member of the 'Hot Boyz' and facilitated a getaway car, though he was not initially charged with the murder itself.
