Kamion De’Sean Thornton, an 18-year-old Black male, tragically lost his life to gun violence in Lexington, Kentucky, on June 10, 2019. Born on April 14, 2001, to Kimberly Thornton and Keith Butler, Kamion had recently celebrated a significant milestone, graduating from the Martin Luther King Junior Academy of Excellence in May of the same year.
