In the autumn of 1973, a terrible tragedy befell the Barnes family in their Lexington, Kentucky home. On October 1st, 14-year-old John Elliott Barnes, a White male, was found murdered alongside his father, Reverend John K. Barnes, and his 17-year-old sister, Francine.
