In the early morning hours of a late April day, the city of Lexington, Kentucky, was marked by a tragedy that cut short a promising young life. Damar Weathers, an 18-year-old male, was found lifeless in Castlewood Park on Sunday, April 30, 2023. The Fayette County Coroner's Office confirmed that he had died from a gunshot wound. Police were called to the park around 8 a.m. and discovered the young man, who was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.
