Death by Force

On April 4, 2024, at approximately 1:38 a.m., the Lexington Police Department responded to reports of shots fired in the 400 block of Carlisle Avenue in Lexington, Kentucky. Upon arrival, officers found an 18-year-old male victim, later identified as Dennis Ruiz-Trujillo Jr., suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the immediate response, Ruiz-Trujillo Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.
