Ja’Juan Webb, a 16-year-old from Grand Rapids, Michigan, was tragically shot and killed on July 4, 2022. The incident occurred on the city's northeast side while Webb was riding his bike with friends. According to reports, the shooting happened around 3:40 p.m. on Leonard Street between Paris and College avenues. Webb was found dead between two homes on Leonard Street when officers arrived at the scene. The Kent County Medical Examiner ruled his death a homicide.
