In the summer of 2021, the life of 17-year-old Leiah Holmes was tragically cut short in Montgomery, Alabama. On Monday, July 12, 2021, the promising young woman, a cheerleader at Alabama Christian Academy who was about to enter her senior year, was killed in a violent intrusion into her own home. The incident prompted a homicide investigation by local police.
