Raylee Dior Allen, a 1-year-old girl from Birmingham, Alabama, tragically lost her life on July 20, 2021, in a senseless act of violence. The homicide occurred in the 800 block of 12th Street North, where Allen was in a car with her mother and another individual. At around 6:00 p.m. that evening, gunfire erupted near the vehicle, striking the young child. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Allen was pronounced dead shortly after arrival from the gunshot wounds.
