On January 7, 2022, around midnight, Montgomery police responded to a call in the 6000 block of Cherry Hill Road, where they discovered 19-year-old Delijah Davis deceased from a gunshot wound. The location is off Troy Highway, across from the Bell Road intersection. The circumstances surrounding the shooting were initially unclear, prompting an investigation by the authorities.
