On January 3, 2023, at approximately 11:45 PM, Montgomery police and emergency medical services responded to a local hospital following reports of multiple gunshot victims. Among the victims was 18-year-old Willie Grant, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead upon arrival. Two juveniles were also treated for non-life-threatening injuries resulting from the same incident.
