On February 17, 2022, 19-year-old Brittney Denise Corbitt was fatally shot in a drive-by incident on Ozark Road in Newville, Alabama. The shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m. near her grandfather's residence, following an earlier altercation between two groups in separate vehicles.
