Justin Demorman Groom, a 32-year-old man from Bessemer, Alabama, was tragically killed on March 27, 2022, in a shooting that authorities later ruled a homicide. The incident occurred in the early morning hours when Bessemer police responded to reports of gunfire at a residence on 2nd Avenue North.
