On a Sunday afternoon in Bessemer, Alabama, the life of 32-year-old Justin Demor Groom, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On March 27, 2022, Groom was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Cuttin Up Barbershop and Grill. The incident unfolded around 3:30 p.m., leaving the community shaken and searching for answers.
