On a Thursday evening in the small town of Brighton, Alabama, just outside of Bessemer, the life of 39-year-old Eric Dewayne Dalton was tragically cut short. On June 15, 2017, Dalton was found fatally shot outside his home on Council Avenue. Emergency services responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 10:20 p.m. and discovered him with life-threatening gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate medical attention he received at the scene, Dalton succumbed to his injuries.
