On April 16, 2022, at approximately 7:30 p.m., a drive-by shooting occurred on Southeast 17th Street in Sheffield, Alabama. The victim, 23-year-old K'Vion Lamont Ruffin, sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later airlifted to Huntsville Hospital, where he remained in critical condition. Tragically, K'Vion succumbed to his injuries on April 19, 2022.
