A night out at Joker's Restaurant and Lounge in Sheffield, Alabama, turned tragic for Mark Anthony Harris, a 29-year-old male, on April 10, 2022. Harris was fatally shot in an incident that led to the permanent closure of the establishment. He was transported to Helen Keller Hospital where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into Harris's death, which was ruled a homicide, quickly led to the identification of suspects. Within days of the shooting, one suspect turned himself in to the authorities. Later that month, on April 28, 2022, the Sheffield Police Department arrested a second individual, Ja'Kobi Channing Mccoy of Muscle Shoals. Mccoy was charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of Harris.
Following his arrest, Mccoy was held in the Colbert County Jail on a $500,000 bond. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Mark Anthony Harris continued with the assistance of the Colbert County Drug Task Force and the Muscle Shoals Police Department.
