On April 27, 2022, at approximately 12:00 p.m., 17-year-old Dijon Alexander McQueen was fatally shot during an assault in the 600 block of 11th Avenue in Midfield, Alabama. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office confirmed that McQueen sustained gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
