On May 23, 2022, in Montgomery, Alabama, 31-year-old Raja Howard, a Black/African American male, was found suffering from a gunshot wound. The incident occurred in the 2000 block of Terminal Road, near Gibbs Village. First responders arrived at the scene and transported Howard to a local hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Following an investigation into the shooting, Montgomery police identified a suspect.
Authorities arrested 26-year-old Ladarius Williams, also of Montgomery, in connection with Howard's death. Williams was subsequently charged with murder and was booked into the Montgomery County Detention Facility. The circumstances that led to the fatal shooting remain under investigation by the Montgomery Police Department.
