In the early hours of July 12, 2022, a sense of tranquility was shattered in Montgomery, Alabama, at the intersection of Atlanta Highway and Perry Hill Road. It was there that 19-year-old David Werking, a young man with his life ahead of him, was found with a life-threatening gunshot wound at approximately 12:16 a.m. Despite the immediate response from police units, David was pronounced deceased at the scene, leaving a void in the lives of his family and friends.
