In the predawn hours of a Sunday morning in Montgomery, Alabama, the life of 28-year-old Desanco Smith was tragically cut short. On July 20, 2025, at approximately 1:40 a.m., law enforcement responded to a call on the 3200 block of Meadow Lane. There they discovered Smith suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
