In the hushed dark of early Friday, September 19, 2025, 30-year-old Fedel Saunders, a man from Montgomery, was struck down by gunfire on West Haven Lane, just off Carter Hill Road. Officers were dispatched around 1:30 a.m., where they found Fedel Saunders with a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead in the immediate aftermath of the shooting. The scene was taped off beneath the glow of streetlights as detectives began working to piece together what happened and who was responsible.
