On November 24, 2019, in the Smoke Rise community of Blount County, Alabama, 53-year-old Delilah "Susie" McKee and her estranged husband, Ricky McKee, were found dead from gunshot wounds in their home. The Blount County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and initiated an investigation into the apparent murder-suicide.
