In the late hours of a Saturday night in Mobile, Alabama, a domestic dispute escalated into a tragedy that claimed the life of 32-year-old Jamies Johnson. On August 20, 2022, Mobile Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Scottsdale Court near Overlook Road shortly after 9:30 p.m. following a report of a shooting.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered Mr. Johnson inside a residence, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Despite the immediate response from the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department, his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The preliminary investigation pointed to a domestic altercation as the catalyst for the deadly encounter.
In connection with the shooting, authorities swiftly took a suspect into custody. Krystal Miskel, identified as the 33-year-old ex-girlfriend of Jamies Johnson, was arrested at the scene. She was subsequently transported to the Mobile Metro Jail and has been charged with murder.
