In the late hours of a Tuesday night in Mobile, Alabama, the life of a dedicated police officer, Brandon Nykori Sigler, was tragically cut short. On June 2, 2009, the 26-year-old male officer was working off-duty as a courtesy officer at the Tyler Ridge Apartments on Thomas Road. He responded to a report of a disorderly incident unfolding in the parking lot of the complex. It was during this response that he was shot, sustaining a fatal wound.
