In the late hours of a cold January night in Washington, D.C., a discovery was made that brought a violent end to the lives of two people. On Monday, January 20, 2014, police responded to a call for an unconscious person at a rowhouse on Girard Street Northwest. Inside a basement efficiency apartment, officers found the bodies of 36-year-old Oluremi Thomas, a male from Northwest D.C., and 24-year-old Keyonna Proctor of Southeast, D.C.
