On August 28, 2022, at approximately 3:27 p.m., Mobile Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting in the parking lot at 1358 Springhill Avenue in Mobile, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 30-year-old Christian Demarco Pinkney Sr. deceased at the scene. The incident was classified as a homicide, and an active investigation was initiated.
