On October 6, 2022, 23-year-old Calvin Maurice Chambers was fatally shot at the Charter East Apartments in Center Point, Alabama. Responding to reports of a shooting around 4:38 p.m., Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies arrived to find Chambers deceased at the scene.
