On January 30, 2023, 29-year-old Quayshon Christavious "Quay" Williams of Auburn, Alabama, was fatally shot in Montgomery. Montgomery police responded to a call about a person shot in the 3500 block of Carter Hill Road just before 4 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Williams with a fatal gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
