Born in Foley, Alabama on April 1, 1987, William was a man who had found love and was building a life with his wife, Michelle, whom he had married in May 2021. He was a stepfather and a beloved son, brother, and uncle. His life's journey had taken him as far as Perth, Australia, where he studied mechanical engineering, and his passion for music was so great that he saw his favorite band, 'Disturbed,' perform on two different continents. He was remembered as a man who had dedicated his life to God through baptism in 2005.
The investigation into Rundle's death led to a suspect, Cedric Karondo “C.J.” Creekmore. In a turn of events within the legal proceedings, Creekmore, who was initially facing a murder charge, pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of reckless manslaughter. In October 2024, a Mobile County court sentenced Creekmore to a prison term of up to 40 months for his role in William Rundle's death, a sentence that could potentially be shortened to 18 months. This plea brought a form of closure to the case, though the narrative of a life cut short remains.
