On May 5, 2023, at approximately 6:00 p.m., 22-year-old Ja'Tavious Tremon "Bill" Thomas arrived at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite medical intervention, Thomas succumbed to his injuries on May 8, 2023.
