On October 20, 2014, Jabari Fields, aged 29, was shot and killed in the early morning hours in the 5300 block of 8th Street NW, Washington, D.C. The incident took place at approximately 2:46 am. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene following reports of a shooting. Despite their efforts, Fields was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have been working on the investigation ever since, but no arrests have been made.
