In the early morning hours of Monday, October 20, 2014, a burst of gunfire shattered the predawn quiet in Washington, D.C., leaving a scene of chaos and tragedy. When officers from the Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the 5300 block of 8th Street, NW, at approximately 2:46 a.m., they discovered that three men had been struck by bullets.
