In the summer of 2007, the life of 19-year-old Eulin Matthews III was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. On Friday, July 20th, Matthews was inside an apartment located at 1028 10th Avenue North in Birmingham, Alabama, when he was fatally shot. The incident added another grim statistic to the city's homicide count for the year.
