On the evening of November 11, 2023, 17-year-old Adonnis Xavier Bishop McQueen was found unresponsive in the roadway of the 400 block of Cheri Lane in Birmingham, Alabama. Responding to a "person down" call at approximately 9:11 p.m., East Precinct officers discovered McQueen had suffered a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived shortly thereafter and pronounced him deceased at the scene.
